Lazimpat used to be the location of the earliest embassies in Nepal with the British, Indian and Japanese embassies pretty close to one another. Nowadays, Lazimpat is home to some of the biggest and finest hotels in Kathmandu including Radisson, shangri la, Malla and Shanker hotels.
